Preparing For Your Return
Our team have been working hard behind the scenes for the past few months preparing for the return of you, our wonderful guests.
We have been implementing new systems across the board including – the methods in which our staff will operate, even more extensive cleaning regimes and new booking, checking in and guest management systems. All in aid of keeping everyone safe whilst in our care at Whitley.

Creating Great Deals
We’ve read about the horror stories of people losing money as we’re sure you have! That’s the last thing we are wanting our customers to worry about when they think of booking with Whitley. That’s why for the next few months we have put a hold on our Late Availability and Advance Purchase rates where you get a discount and pay upfront but aren’t supposed to cancel.

Arriving With Us
We’ve introduced a brand new check in system so that you will spend minimal time in reception to avoid queuing around other guests. On the day before your stay you will receive an email from us with a link to an online check-in document. Follow this link and you will be taken to our completely secure online check-in page where you will give us your details, your estimated arrival time and car registration number, as well as booking your breakfast and dinner bookings (if requested).
Upon arrival please make your way to reception where we will swiftly hand you your key and direct you up to your room. Our team member will give you your orientation quickly and efficiently.
Don’t worry… we are only asking that you wear face masks when travelling around our 16th century corridors to abide by the two metre rule. You know – just in case you meet someone coming the other way. All our staff will be wearing face masks at all times so whilst you won’t be able to see their smile, smiles are like stars – they can’t always be seen but you know that they are there!
Your (Safe Haven) Room
As detailed in our coronavirus statement, our already thorough cleaning regimes have been made even more rigorous by our housekeeping manager. Every room will continue to be disinfected by our hospital grade cleaning products after every check out but we have also introduced our high touch cleaning programme, ensuring that every item you touch in your room has been disinfected before your arrival.
All non-essential items, including some decorative and information items have been removed from your rooms to remove risk and replenishment of towels, linen and anything else you need are available upon request to ensure no-one enters your room unless requested.
We will not be servicing rooms for guests staying more than one night unless specifically requested to do so to avoid unnecessary contact with your items in your safe space. Please request your room to be serviced if you wish this to take place.
We have a new enhanced in-room dining offering, including all-day room service, so you can enjoy some delicious dining in your safe haven.
Eating in your room not your thing? We’ve rearranged our restaurants, lounges and private rooms to ensure you can drink, dine and relax in our public areas with peace of mind. So if it’s an afternoon tea in the garden, burger in the bar or a sirloin steak in the restaurant – we’ve got you covered!
We’re cleaning our menu holders between every service. We’re encouraging guests to use their electronic devices to browse our menus and place orders where possible. We have replaced our buffet options with à la carte and there will be some outstanding cream teas, hampers and snacks available too.
We’ve all been so used to taking our daily exercise alone in our homes or outside, well now you have the beautiful countryside of North Sheffield to enjoy whilst out on your run.
During your stay we do ask that you demonstrate physical distancing in alignment with the latest government guidelines, to keep yourselves, fellow guests and our team as safe as possible. When traveling around the hotel unless seated at a table we ask that you wear masks in order to stay safe when meeting other guests.
We will have new sanitising stations around our hotel so you can stay safe and sanitise on the go whilst enjoying our property and grounds.
Once again, we have put procedures in place that will mean you do not have to come to reception and unnecessarily queue to pay. Our new HE-Sercure payment system allows us to charge your card without you entering your card details and we’ll email you your bill so once you’ve checked the bill you can be on your way with less time around reception.
